THE LETTERISTA T SHIRTS ARE HERE!

WHAT IS LETTERISTA STYLE?

What does it mean to write in Letterista style? well-it’s a sweet mash up of traditional calligraphy gone wild, modern takes and innovations on old styles of lettering, and writing on fabric!

I’ve coined the term Letterista style to describe my take on calligraphy-
rebellious, different and definitely not by the rules. ( Although I bow to the gods Marsha and Larry B.!)

ANYONE CAN BE A LETTERISTA!
and embrace our style by wearing the shirt. If you are a rebel, an outsider, if you’re not one that likes to follow the rules, congratulations! ... you are a Letterista

Revolutionary, Defiant, Current
( I have to admit I was a bit inspired by the Sandinista party from Nicaragua, a socialist party that overthrew the military junta of their country in 1979)

And, Yes Guys can be Letteristas too!

AND NOW YOU CAN REPRESENT WITH THE NEW LETTERISTA T-SHIRT!

This LIMITED EDITION shirt was lovingly hand screened by my friend Neal ( available for T-shirt printing at blue-dot@mindspring.com)I designed the Letterista logo influenced by one of my graff heroes Chaz Bojorquez. The shirts are printed on on heavy duty Haitian cotton black shirts
This edition of shirts is pretty small- so order quickly-I hope to make a new Letterista logo with each printing-so dare I say these could be collectors items!

HEY GALS! These tees are perfect for tricking out with a bit of braiding, slashing and trimming. Here’s a sample above of what you can do-Look for the You tube video from me on this technique soon! Its really pretty simple to do!

LETTERISTA STYLE at Unique LA!

Hello!!
Im officially launching my Letterista Style brand-at the wonderfully cool Unique LA show this Sunday in downtown LA-I'll be at the Craftside/Quarry booth doin names 'ista style. I'll have some cool junk for sale-some new stickers and ta dah...my new Tshirts-Letterista Style. They are hot off the press from the excellent silk screening studio of my friend Neal-if you need some tshirts good and cheap-i mean inexpensive! go to blue-dot@mindspring.com

OH and did I happen to mention my trip to the Art in the Streets show at MOCA? If you are near by run -dont walk to this show at the Geffen MOCA-if you dont live in LA buy a plane or train ticket now! I mean it-its awesome! IF you live far far away-go to my FLICKR ACCOUNT and look at 14 pages of pics. Since I am working on a graffiti diversion program and most of these artists featured have transcended the streets in their own ways it is INCREDIBLE! It also showcases the history of graff and theres an excellent Levis Film workshop inside. I got a private tour from the lovely Deborah-see her shot at the drums at the Os Gemenos installation. She informed me that Banksy hangs out in the gallery after hours with other artists goofing off-theres an incredible stained glass look collab he did with middle schoolers-they didnt know it was Banksy-just some dude! Love it!
